Emergency brake stiff
Just got a Superformance Cobra last month. Only got to drive it 3 days before putting it away for the winter.
I noticed that the emergency brake handle had quite a lot of resistance to pull back (had to pull it all the way to the top to engage the brake) and that I had to push it forward with more resistance than I expected to disengage it. Is this typical? Haven't had a chance to put the car on the lift to see what's going on so I thought I'd ask and see what other owners say about how their emergency brake works. Thanks, Tom |
Yeah that's not entirely unusual, especially for a low mileage car . It's a bit of a Rube Goldberg mechanism. Read my post on your other thread and incorporate it into the checklist.

Where is your parking brake located? On the rear wheels or on the driveshaft?
