Tonneau cover

Hi All

I'm looking for a Tonneau cover for my new SPF that I just got. It's a Mark III and I have seen various types and prices.

Any good leads would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Do tonneau covers not come with SPF's anymore? Try Hillbank

The tonneau is an option as of 2012 or so. To assure you get one that fits the chassis number of your car will be required.

Get the OEM cover. They fit well and use quality fasteners.

I've got the factory cover and if you like scratching your paint at each of the fastening points, get a factory unit.
If all you're looking for is a cover for the interior while parked, get one of these

I have both. Only use the second one.

The Superformance tonneau covers are made on a custom jig at the factory. While they have replaced the jig a few times over the years, they are pretty much the same in shape, the fasteners being the parts were changes have occurred. I have fit a cover from a 800 series car to a 1700 series and to a 2000+ series car and they fit quite well. But there was a change in the style of fastener used near the rear ends of the doors when the started to offer the newer style top with drop down rear windows. Originally all connectors were Lift-a-Dot style but on later cars 2 connectors have been changed to a different style. Check your convertible top connectors to see if you have 2 odd connectors or not at the back of the doors. You can change the 2 old style connectors to the newer style if necessary, but you will have problems going from new back to original style due to the holes on the cover for the connectors. If you contact me directly I can help you out with this. None of the tonneau covers fit perfectly on any car due to the robust material they are made of and the compound curves they must conform too. (see Einstein's theory of warped space, gravity and time) And yes, they do damage the paint with repeated use. There are a few tricks to minimize the damage to the paint, but light scratching will occur regardless. My email is below for further information...... Blas

superformance tonneau cover used

I have a SuperFormance tonneau cover, don't know much about it, didn't order it. 150 plus shipping. It's black, no rips, no scuffs. It's in really great shape. Has cut outs for the roll bar (left side).

I had a marine upholstery shop custom make my cover and it fits perfectly. I changed out the Lift-A-Dots to Turn Buttons to secure my top better and of course had to change out the "female" parts on the cover to accept the buttons. You should be able to get any color you want and any design. I like being able to drive with the passenger side covered. I also had a couple straps that attach to the tranny tunnel to cut down on flapping. My 2¢
