Hood latch adjustment
My hood when closed and locked wil move side to side if you pull the lock handles. This is causing the hood to rub on the inside of the hood opening compartment and is rubbing the paint off at roughly where the rubber cushion is on the passenger side. Is there any way to adjust the locks to prevent this from happening?
Thanks, Lou |

Thanks, Lou[/QUOTE I found out that there is zero adjustment on the handle mechanism. The only thing that will make the latch close tighter is the "L" bracket that is attached to the firewall. I removed it put it in a vice , heated it with a propane torch and gave it a few hits with an adjustment tool (my lead hammer). Once it cooled off I put it back on and there is no longer any sideward movement. |
