Superformance Cobra - Shifter
I am having a very hard time removing the shifter knob on my Superformance Cobra. Any ideas how to get this removed. It has a metal bottom below the plastic knob, that I understand should be released before you can screw off the knob. I am not able to remove the metal piece. There are two little holes that I have tried to insert small tipped pliers into and tried to turn but nothing.

Use a rubber strap wrench on the black knob part, the lower chrome lower is really just for show, it does not lock the knob in place. Harbor Freight has rubber strap wrenches cheap that will work
