installation/gluing of boby on chassis

Hi everyone,

I am a French guy owning a Monza red Superformance Roadster SFP1075. I love the car, its look, stance and quality building.
The other day I was looking at pictures of my car and I noticed someting odd. I was under the impression that the right front wheel was a bit more inside the wheel arch that the left one. I checked and indeed the wheel was about 1/2 inch more inside that the left one.
I checked several photos of Superformance taken in front of the cars and on about half on them, the problem was noticable.
My question is: during the mating/gluing process of boby on chassis at Superformance, could the body be sometine slightly offset to the right (looking at the front of the car) by 1/4 of an inch or is my car the only one with this problem,
Look at several photos of you cars and tell me if I am wrong?
Cheers from Normandy

Hello normand, and welcome to the forum.

Is it possible to take measurements on the left side of the vehicle and also on the right side, from a convenient location on the body to a convenient location on the chassis? This should show whether the body is offset on the chassis or not.

Also, is it possible to take measurements of the suspension and chassis on both sides of the car to determine if the track is set correctly (ie one side may be adjusted out further than the other side)?

There will no doubt be plenty of Superformance experts who, I'm sure, will be able to add valuable experience-based comments as well.

Cheers,
Glen
