Mk ll question
Looking into getting in line to purchase a Mark ll and doing some leg work on the ignition system and wondering if there is room under the dash to hide a msd box . The car will have the heater /defrost option

Hi Bob.
Very few space under the dash but you can hide your Msd box under driver or passenger seat. You have 2 rectangular metal sheets bolted and once removed you can easily install your msd box. It's done like that on my MK2. |
Yes, plenty of room for an MSD box, but why?
The MSD units are known for "suspect quality" on the non-race boxes and have a high failure rate. If you want to duplicate the original look Pertronix makes an "as-cast" distributor with internal spark box. |
