Information on owner builds for a MkII
I originally wanted to build an FFR Roadster but now I am looking at a MkII slabside. I see most get their cars finished at a shop but I am wanting to do the work myself.
Is there a manual for this model that I can look at and see what is involved and what other parts are not included that are needed for installation? EFI vs Carb installation, wiring harness, etc. I haven't been able to find any pictures of the Mk II chassis, suspension, or really anything to see what is underneath the body of these vehicles, can someone provide me with a link? I'd really like to know what parts are used on these cars. What brakes, axles, etc. Any help would be appreciated. |

Oh, and welcome to the forum! Cheers, Glen |
The Superformance MKII’s have and owners manual package available for them. Included in the Owners Manual package is a Service Bulletin document which has a lot of additional information to make the drive train installation process easier, along with general maintenance information. You also get a complete Wiring Diagram in the package. Every Manual is custom made for each individual chassis. The Manual Package is also available for previously owned cars should the current owner be interested in owning a copy. Because there are so many choices for the engine components, that information is usually included with the engine by the installer or engine builder. There is a document included in the manual package for the owner to fill in the information for the drivetrain components used. And there are two different recommendations for transmissions identified.

But, hey why ask a dealer who can answer the questions when you can go to a forum and have everyone give you an opinion.?!?!

Not to mention I live on the opposite side of the world and I don't have a dealer in my part of the world. |

It depends on the dealer and how long they have been in business and the extent that they have been involved in working on cobras. Some are quite knowledgeable.
