RT Rear shock mount upgrade question
I’m looking into the RT rear shock mount upgrade. My question is whether once the rear wheel is removed, and the suspension is hanging as far down as the travel will allow, can I safely unbolt the coil over shock or do I need to take to take tension off the spring by undoing to platform with a C spanner?

RT’s package comes with fantastic directions.
Feel free to contact me directly.

Just count how many rings are exposed on the shock and then you won’t have to worry about using a spanner to loosen and reset them. I found loosening them made the job easier. And absolutely ensure that you get the spacers reinstalled in the same orientation that was there prior, as alignment is important to ensure proper function and to eliminate any binding on the spherical rod ends.
