Clutch m/c access

I'm down to the last few odds and ends to get my new SPF on the road. I've bled the clutch cyl I don't know how many times, and am still only getting minimal movement. I must still have air in the system:CRY: . My next effort is to bench bleed the m/c, and try this again. As I can only feel the m/c, and can't see it for the brake m/c, I have considered taking out the drivers side stainless air louvers to get to it, however, getting to the upper louver nuts is equally frustrating.

I game at this point for any good suggestions.

In the driver's side front wheelwell, there should be an access panel to get to both MCs. You will have to remove the tire/wheel to get to it properly, and probably contort your body some to get to both sides of the fasteners at once (I've yet to remove mine for any R&R - knock on wood - but that's how you get to those components). You should NOT have to remove the air louvers!

I realized you asked this question a WEEK ago...us SPF guys are falling asleep at the wheel...sorry.

Good luck,

Thom,

Just completed the same task. It's a b%#@h. But do-able. There is a bleeder connection on top of the master cylinder too. Have fun, but be careful. If the fluid spills, it runs down on the back side of the body, then seeps out between the body and frame below. REAL fun to clean up.
