Thanks guys.
The funny thing about the 98AM1425 cobra is: It stands now in the showroom of a german dealer %/ Milage: Aprox. 3,800. Juergen |
Jürgen,
Is this one of the SPF's that Günther Linz has at Race Classics in Germany? You probably know that since may 2009 it is very difficult to get a cobra titled as a '65 or '67 car. It is also very difficult to get a 2010 title on a cobra because of emissions requirements. If this car comes with the correct title (guarante) you are safe, if not: step away. Beside that of course the price should match this particular car. All cars in Europe are in a european database with their chassisnumbers. There have been big problems with cobra's in the UK having the same chassinumber as cobra's on the continent. If a cobra in the states has an identical number you should be safe, but make sure you can always prove the car is officially bought and not stolen. Just my 2 cents. |
Hi Cheesehead,
it is not from Race Classics. Unfortunately I now that "we" have the problem to admit a not real '65 '67 Cobra  Do you know where i can find the european database for checking? Thanks, Juergen |
Funny.
The silver Superformance 98AM1425 offered now from http://www.cobra-classics.de/lager.html# .Because of the Smith Tachometer in wrong direction, it seems, that it was a right steering car before %/. Cheers, Jürgen |

SPF Car Number Listing
This is a general list of what years the car chassis were made in...
Superformance Owners Forum's SUPERFORMANCE NEWS Since the cars did not necessarily leave the factory in exact sequential order, they have a "Range' of 40 or so from month to month. For instance, on the chart above, in the beginning of 1999, January started off with cars being made in the numerical range of 441 to 468. As an example, you could have car 467 made in December of 98 and car 466 and 468 made in January of 1999. MEATMASTER smokin ribeyes, not rubber! |
