SPF Information
Hello everyone!
I am in the market for a Cobra and I am leaning toward a SPF. I am unimpressed with the information provided by the Superformance website. I am looking for SPF Cobra info. The specs page on the SPF dot com site do not work for me and I can not seem to gather information as easily as I would expect. Does anyone have an links they would like to share? Also what is the rough weight for an average SB car? (hoping under 2300 pounds) Thanks, Bart |
Used to own one in early 2000, sold due to divorce (OUCH). Love the car and it's quality.Lots of upgrades since I owned mine (300 series). Here are some links for research:

The manual says just under 2,500 lbs. with a small block. I have one that will be for sale in a couple of weeks. I bought it last month and I'm in the process of making it a car I'm proud of. Good car and a great value at 43.5K. Let me know if you want more information.

Are you planning on buying a new one or a used one? When I was looking I did a lot of looking at the different cars on CobraCountry.com and it helped because of the great descriptions and prices. None of them are ever the same and there are a lot of differences between the different years, but you can find an older car with most of the performance upgrades if you wait, and save yourself a lot of time and money... just my $0.02 (canadian).

Go to the following for info. I bought a new SPF from Olthoff and couldn't be happier.

I agree--Dennis Olthoff is an expert on SPFs--he certainly knows his stuff (much more than the other SPF dealers with which I interacted). Incidentally, you should be able to get a brochure that contains detailed specs for the car as well as a DVD from any SPF dealer (they can send it to you). SPFs are very nice cars. |
Bart,
Here's a link to a PDF of the SPF brochure that's posted on Park Place's website. It's the same brochure that you'll get from an SPF dealer. http://www.parkplaceltd.com/Default....3roadster.html Just click on the green button on the lower right. I'm surprised that SPF's main website (and most of the dealers) don't offer a downloadable version of the brochure. Doug |
Thanks everyone for all the information!! :3DSMILE:
