Olthoff Roll Bar - Fitting Problem
I ordered a higher roll bar for #1048 from Olthoff, and it doesn't
seem to fit up right. The problem is with the angle of the back bar not slanting enough to the left of the car to clear the hole in the body. Anyone else have this problem - perhaps they changed the angle somewhere along the production line? Thanks- Nathan |
Nathan, I wrote a quick e-mail to a fellow SPFer that installed this bar. He is traveling on business at the moment but will attempt to post you an answer this weekend. I recall he also had some similar fitment issues but was able to make it work in the end.

Thanks Dean.
I am waiting to see what Olthoff says about it too. I just cant see how i am going to make the small rear facing part attached to the hoop to shift over .5 or so of an inch to match up with the proper angle of the bar coming from the trunk. -Nathan |
Dennis installed mine, pulled the stock bar and installed the taller one. I have the stock bar and could change back.

Surely this has been solved, but as I remember, you must position the height of the hoop so the rear bar connects properly, if you mount the hoop piece first, it appears to be impossible to fit-up. Remember the mounting brackets are still at the same angle but the intersection of the hoop and brace have moved up, so the angle's different.
