Roll Bar diameter

what's the diameter of your SPF roll bar??

mickmate 04-07-2008 09:17 AM

I believe they're 1.5", would you like one?

convincor 04-07-2008 10:06 AM

no, just thinking about using the SPF grommets.
I made a custom bar that is 1-3/4".

mickmate 04-08-2008 04:26 PM

I have the largest I could find from McMaster. They are 1.5" but will stretch to 1.75" would you like a couple to try?

Blas 04-08-2008 04:56 PM

If stretched, they will split in the sunlight...
But they could possibly be ground-out a bit larger to accommodate the larger diameter bar...with a Dremel tool maybe....

Thanks for the offer Mick, but I already have a bag of 1.5's
I've been cutting 2 to make one that is big enough. Super glue the ends together it looks like a parting seam from a mold..

The plumbing section at the hardware store has some attractive trim rings for pipes that would work well on roll bars I think.
