Sound like the fun and the issues are just beginning.. You worry about people touching it. You worry about the bumps in the road. You worry about the chips from rocks in the road, but most of all you worry about not getting to drive it.

Just think about it! Pretty soon there will be a COBRA in your garage. Not a Chevette (sorry I meant Corvette) or a Mustang or a Jaguar.... a SHELBY COBRA.... After how many years of waiting and wanting?

Whadyathink guys... is that a tune up or what?

Congratulations. All I can say for sure is IT'S ABOUT TIME!

Funny little story.

My wife thinks I am nuts. She just doesn't get it.......yet, but she is coming around.

She calls me this afternoon all excited because she has just seen a little blue car with white stripes that she is pretty sure is a Cobra. She actually sounds excited, calls it "cute" of all things, starts talking about trips and making suggestions on how to change the garage around. She even starts talking with the kids about the plates. They have voted for 4RE KLR. There are a lot of Ferrari's around here, some of my kids' friends' dads have them.

Everyone here is suffering from CAS (Cobra Anticipation Syndrome).

I am hoping I have outgrown the anal "worrying about avery scratch" think, but I don't think it's too much to threaten my kids' with thier personal sale if they breath on it wrong, do you.:D

I am hopeful that this time next week I will have actual pics (sans drivetrain of course). Then I'll have to figure out how to post pics...

I am hoping I have outgrown the anal "worrying about avery scratch" think,

How comical, that is what I thought as mine now sits in a garage with a car cover on it show quality finish and fit. You can not realize what you are getting at this point if you have never owned one before. I have to admit I am tired of the horn beeping, people yelling at me at stop lights, people driving beside and behind me guaking. I doubt a ferrari gets anywhere the attention your cobra will get. You have done nothing but awaken a sleeping giant!!!

Congratulations

I hope you enjoy the car as much as I do. I get goose bumps just thinking about it. :3DSMILE:

OK - Just got the engine number from Roush and they had to make sure that it was one I really wanted to keep. The engine number on Roush engines is on the valve covers and mine will say "427-666" or engine number 666. I kind of like it.

The car is "on approach" into LA and should offload tomorrow or Saturday. Then it's off to Boise for prep-work, engine/tranny install and final delivery prep.

I should get some pics by this time next week. Anyone want to tell me how to post them?
