Mirror upgrade for fender mounted mirrors

I installed a convex mirror which others have recommeded for the useless side view mirror. It is not useless anymore and is 100% functional. I had to go to 5 autoparts store but finally found one with silver backing instead of the black. It is a grote 12014-5 part number 3 3/4 convex mirror cost $2.22 at standard autoparts, if you do not mind a black frame walmart has them for $1.49. YOU MUST DO THIS UPGRADE!!! Best money I ever spent on a Cobra.

You can get a convex mirror from Finish Line. I just replaced my old pitted mirror with a new one, but I got the flat one because I can see everything behind my car when it is properly adjusted.

Interesting, that is the whole mirror. To be honest you cannot tell the one I mounted is not the only mirror, the original is recessed so this is now flush with the outer housing.

Did the same. $3 fix. Gives you more confidence on the track too, especially coming out of pit lane where harness and helmet stop you looking over your shoulder.
