just wanting to know if the spf roller is on sale for $37,900 as apposed to the $42,900.

no one knows this info? theres got to be someone here who knows this

Don't know about an official sale, but shop around. If one dealer is offering that price and they don't have the color you want, play that price off of another dealer.

It depends. When I bought my SPF earlier this year, there was a deal at Dynamic (Kyalami in OHIO). I found that I got a better deal off a car they HAD in the showroom/warehouse.
if you are a little flexible, they can be too. --as Doug mentions if they have a color that is to your liking, make a deal. Have you drawn up a spec for your SPF >? AKA --What body; Roadster, S/C, what trim ; British Edition, striped, plain scoops , hoops, etc. the base car when I bought mine was 42-43K, and i left the door for 35 as it was a distress sale. -- your millage may vary. --Steve |
D&M Motorsports just outside of Chicago as a great selection of cars. Lots of colors, some rollers and some ready to go...Call Kevin.

101 There has been a recent price reduction on SPF rollers but I understand it was for a limited time. I think it 's important to buy your car from a local dealer and not try to low ball the transaction and get little service down the road. SPF makes great cars but the dealers are what ready makes the SPF wonderful after the sale. If you live in the Dallas Fort Worth , TX area I can direct you to a great dealer. Otherwise support your local dealer. Thx, db

Retail
Last "corporate" price increase was to $42,900, but every dealer is welcome to cut their own throats to sell at whatever price it takes to move the chassis. SPF or Shelby Distribution, whatever the name is these days, still gets paid a certain amount for the chassis by the dealers so they certainly couldn't give a ()@*&#$ what the dealer then charges the customer. A dealer is going to do whatever it takes to move the product, but that certainly doesn't make them a "successful" dealer, selling at break even or barely breakeven profit.....

Gt 40
Rod, When you mentioned GT40 everything changes, the build on a MKIII is relativity straight forward and any decent mechanic can turn out a great SPF Cobra from the roller. The GT40 is another animal, it needs to be assembled by a craftsman that can build, not just bolt on some parts. I have first hand experience in seeing and driving a SPF GT40 being built and it is very involved. I would wonder if the "low cost dealer" could even locate a craftsman to assemble the roller into a finished masterpiece. The SPF GT40 is a street legal RACE CAR and I mean that literally. They are a blast to drive but it's a RACE CAR with all the good and bad that comes with a RACE CAR. Not a grocery getter by anyones standards. Thx, db:3DSMILE::3DSMILE::3DSMILE:

The special roller price was a May 08' special. I saw their advert posted on two different websites. It was a special factory "rollback" deal for the month of May. I'm assuming to kickstart the summer purchases. Sharkey spf 1176 & spc 052

When your greatest fear is parking on a lot, and having a car park on either side of you. Cause you are not getting back into your GT40. |
