Woodward Dream Cruise - 2 Seconds of Fame
(ok the fame part is a stretch)

It cracks me up everytime I watch it. Woodward was great this year...something everyone should see once in their lifetime...car nut or not. I avoid the 'ward each year. This isn't what cruising was. This is just an over sized, commercialized, too expensive car show.
Cruising was tooling up and down Woodward for three reasons; race, deals and member of the opposite sex. The cops threw you out of every parking lot between 8 mile and 15 mile as you parked and then ticketed you for everything they could think of while you were driving. But man, there were events! Races for bigger money out on I75. And, there was the topend club out on I696. Nothing like this dream cruise. This is just a display of cubic dollars. Bill - the COBRA limo was definitely a sight to behold...kind of like an accident...you dont want to look, but you just have to. More cruise pics here...
