Door fit in SPF

Hello,
My driver door has a 2 mm sized chip of paint missing (fiberglass is ok) where the door meets (rubs?) the body near the windshield.
Is this normal? Can it be completely adjusted perfectly or this a traight of Cobras?
Thanks

Take it back to the dealer. There should be no rubbing anywhere on an SPF. Everything should have been perfect from the factory and double checked by your dealer before you took delivery.

Absolutely not normal, take it back

You can try going back to the dealer. If the car was pre-owned, then the warranty wouldn't transfer. Also, I think the basic warranty on the car is 1 year.

Check the latching mechanism. A series of washers are mounted on a pin. Take one out and test for a better fit. If the rub results from a misaligned-door the problem is in the hinges and not easily remedied.

My SPF was delivered to my door with a passenger-side door that resisted opening and would not close. Obviously no one had tried it, from final assembly to delivery at Dynamic to final assembly by Performance Engineering. It was one of several delivery defects - including failing to realign the car after the engine and transmission were installed, shipping the car with a failed right rear seal that allowed grease to scatter the fender well, etc. - that became apparent in the 13,000 or so miles I put on the car before selling it, following repeated attempts at a thorough repair. In the end build quality proved disappointing.

My door gaps were uneven when the car was delivered. At the time, I noticed that other cars in the shipment had the same issue.
I was able to adjust the doors for a uniform door gap by loosening the hinge bolts and removing some adjustment washers from the latch pins, closing the doors and re-tightening the hinge bolts.

The doors are easy to adjust. Take the screws out that hole the map pocket to the door. Behind it their are 3 bolts that attach the hindge to the door. Close the door, loosen the 3 bolts and adjust the gaps as needed. Popsicle sticks work great as shims to get the gaps even.
