MK lll vs Coupe
Can someone clarify the main differences?

To the best of my knowledge, the MK III is the original 427 roadster design, while the Coupe generally refers to the Daytona Coupe. I have the MK III, and LOVE it. TL:MECOOL: (now in Fla. for the winter) |
I believe they are completely differnt cars..
But the Superformance site or the other manufactures will have the specs. In 64-65 Shelby was able to convince the FIA that they were the same cars with different bodies but I don't think that is true in the replicar market. %/

If I`m looking at a 1999 Superformance convertible can I assume that it is the MKlll model??? Any changes in the model between 1999 and 2008 ?

The short answer to the question about the convertible - YES it is a Mark III. Mine is a '03 model, and there have been some changes made prior to my delivery. Most notably, the drop foot box, don't know exactly what year they made the change. Do you know the SPF number of the car, with that info some others here can fill you in with some of the info you are looking for. Private sale, original owner, or sale thru a dealer?
