Front Seat Slider Adjustment
My front driver's seat has a lever to adjust the seat but it won't slide back & forth. Is there a trick to this or do I have to take the seat out to check? If so, is it just 4 bolts from under the car for a re & re?

The handle connected to the linkage underneath. There is a hooked rod connecting the right and the left. I have a photo if you need one, PM me your email address.
Seat removal is just the 4 bolts from underneath. There are sometimes washers stacked up below to adjust the seat angle, just keep track of how many washers at each location.

Mike doesn't slide very well either, l just push lift some weight off the seat and hold the lever with 1 hand and push forward against the tunnel with the other hand, or run it back and ram it forward...

If it doesn't slide well, remove the seat and lube the tracks up real good...

I had the seat out tonite and the tracks slid real easy when out of the car. So I lubed them and put it back in. I found that I have to really reef up on the handle and the seat will now move - but it doesn't move easy. I'm happy that it's now moving tho. Thanks Blas.

Perhaps the tie rod between the two sides is not disengaging the linked side properly. Do the tracks appear parallel? Do you weigh 600 lbs?
Do the bolts from below go in easy? You could open up the holes thru the chassis a bit if they are binding when installed...Must be some mis-alignment somewhere.

Do you have carpet in the car that extends under the sides of the seats. If they slid well out of the car, then something is hanging them. I had to trim my carpet just a little down each side and mine worked great after that.

What about spacers (there weren't any)? If I put 2-3 washers on the bolts under the seat that would help with carpet clearance, yes?

Is the track hitting the carpet? If so, add some washers to clear. You can also rake the seat by adding more in front than in back...

The washers did it, it must have been catching on the carpet. Thanks guys.
