Accusump in SPF - best place to mount?

I own #2238 and was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their experience with mounting a 3 qt Accusump in an SPF car. I'm considering mounting it in the trunk and was hoping that somewhere out here has already tried and succeeded or failed and found a better location.

Thanks,

David

Most common place is on top of the crossmember in front of the engine.

Do a search here on CC and you will find several old threads about Accusump. There is also a discussion thread open here now.

Are you a member of SCOF? There has been a lot of discussion there also. The good, the bad, the ugly.....

Yes I am a SCOF member but I haven't logged in for quite a while. I need to get in touch with the SCOF web site administrator to get access to the tech articles again.

It makes sense to mount it on the cross member - that area looks to have plenty of room although I mounted a remote breather on the front side of that cross member but I can move that if needed.

Thanks,

David

The trunk would require some serious plumbing work. The cross member seems to be the most popular spot. Are you going to track the car? If not, you may not need to or benefit all that much from an Accusump.

Yes, I already have tracked it a couple of times and it's too scary to watch the oil pressure drop to 20 lbs in the middle of some corners.

Sounds like the cross member is the spot from what I've heard so far

Thanks for the responses,

Dave

Saw this setup at Barrett-Jackson in the SPF/Roush factory demo MkIII. Took up a lot of space in the trunk.
