That's a great video. I believe the SPF is just one step under the Kirkham. I really need to get a ride in one versus my LSC. DO NOT listen to the idiots that were talked about by SPO1715, they don't know what the crap their talking about ! :JEKYLHYDE

Question- how well does the IRS hold up to high torque and drag racing ?
I've always questioned the reliability of the knuckles, shafts ect. I'm not talking about up to speed road racing but, dumping the clutch at a stop or say,.....10 mph up.

Thank you for the video ! :3DSMILE:

The earlier SPF has a Ford 8.8 28 spline rear end with 3.73 gear and half shafts with CV joints. You probably won't break it if you have wheel spin, but if you try to hook some drag radials from a standing start you may bink a half shaft at the splines. I replaced mine after one original half shaft broke with some stronger half shafts and a Detroit Tru Track rear end. Good to go, but I never lanched the car hard from higher RPM on the set up. Most often one wouldn't need to dump the clutch from 10 MPH as you would have enough torque to destroy about anything on the road up to 100+mph anyway. The closest race I had from a roll was a GSXR1000 with power comander computer, intake, exhaust and gearing for acceleration. We ran from 30mph to 140 MPH even, but the dude on the bike was about 200 lbs.

The newer SPF has a stronger rear end design and half shafts, but a different rear gear ratio.
