Nisonger Smith's Electronic Speedo

I've seen many here talk about the the electronic Smith's speedometer and swap them in place of the bouncy mechanical one but no one has listed a price or other specific's on putting them in and Nisonger doesn't have anything listed on their website.

So can anyone give a price on what a new nisonger smith electronic speedo costs? And any other items that are required to go along with it?

I saw that someone said a ford part is required to connect to the tranny. I assume that all the TKO-600's have a plug that can connect to this setup?

Any other install instructions would be appreciated, thanks.

Don't want to steal your thread but I'm also interested in a 5", non-mechanical, reverse sweep speedometer that would go with a T-5. This is to replace the 3 3/8' VDO, 120 mph currently in the car.

You guys should call Nisonger (CC sponsor) and tell them what you want. I'm sure they'll be happy to walk you through what's needed and the estimated cost.

I've read that thread and its what prompted me to start this one.

I was hoping for more accurate definitions on the sender/plug required for the tranny and the prices to go along with it. For those who are unsatisfied with the mechanical speedo this thread could give everyone the price and information regarding it and could allow those people to pursue with knowing they're paying the right price and hopefully some tips for a smooth install.

Three years ago I gave up on trying everything under the sun to correct the bouncing Smiths mechanical speedo. I bought an electronic speedo from Nisonger for $345, a Smiths programmable electronic speedometer - part XES3/5-1Bxx-xx. I recall having to get an electronic plug-in part from Fortes, who I bought my TKO-600 from. The Tremec has an internal magnetic pickup for electronic speedos. Just followed the installation instructions, programmed the speedo for my tire diameter, axel ratio etc. It is dead on accurate and stable at any speed. There is a button and a toggle switch behind the speedo within easy reach that allows you to reset the trip odometer and to calibrate the speedo for you own car axle and tires. Best thing I ever did for gauges. Lamp is same wattage as original speedo.

Thanks for the info.
