prevent dings in your new radiator while installing
I was installing a new aluminum radiator today and noticed that just taking it out of the box seemed to distort some of the fine vanes in the core. So I cut the shape of the core out of the box the rad was delivered in and taped it in place with painters tape. I kept this protection in place until the installation was complete and then removed it. No dings, no damage, everything looks great.

You can buy a comb to straighten the fins from Harbor Freight. It works.
