engine height
Does anyone know how tall of an engine will fit in a kirkham or csx or original cobra for that matter (427 body) for hood clearance purpose. Thanks

Too many variables to answer your question I think - motor mounts, engine mount horns, body/frame assembly, minor body differences in manufacturer makes. If doing a custom assembly you can vary the mouting heigth of the block to the frame somewhat as long as you keep oil pan clearnces in mind and have an idea of what you can live with. If you have an existing car with the engine horns fabricated for the engine in question, you can install the motor mounts and measure from them to the underside of the hood and then start doing some comparisons to motor dimensions.

got all the demensions of underhood room from the Kirkhams, they know everything those guys.
