A bit farther from the body because of the length of the jack extensions (I may fix that in the one run).

Best,

Ron

Ron - what's the horizontal tab at the top of the bracket for?

If you need to steady the lights and also provide screw adjustment, I use (on another car) straightened-out worm drive hose clamps, which work well. Your brackets, and Allen's, look suitably hefty to not need steadying, but the fine adjustment is handy for the penetration provided by 100W Oscar driving and spot lights.
Cheers,
Glen

Jeez, is there some competition to make the most complex bracket?:D You guys did inspire me though so here are a few pics of my NON-FIA car with a set of Cibie Super Oscars. I sourced them from Europa Spares (not cheap!) https://www.europaspares.com/product...ng___Spot.html One is a driving light and the other is a spot.

The bracket is just angle iron from a hardware store.

Still not aimed but I'm digging the look.

Picked up these vintage looking headlight covers off of ebay.

Awesome K-I-S-S approach on the brackets!..lol Well played, sir!

Your car looks great with them!

The lights look great, Allen! I have always liked that look. With so many cool versions of the 289 cars it's tough settle in with one "Vibe". I say keep it dirty! ...but you knew I'd say that.

The idea is to mount the stabilizing strut to that tab instead of the body as in some of the other pics. I'd need to bend it to make it work though. The brackets are stable enough not to need the stabilizer IMHO.

I got the Oscar SC's instead of the Super Oscars due to size. Though the Super Oscar's have that WOW!!! factor.

I got my lights from Daniel Stern Lighting. He is the nicest guy and knows his stuff like no other.

A couple more pics (I've since straightened the drivers fog lamp).

Best,

Ron

The lights look great Ron. When I as looking for Cibies I emailed Daniel Stern a couple of times and never got a response. That's why I went to yuerup for them.

I think Daniel has had some health problems, but is back to fully engaged.

Best,

Ron
