Anemic rear tire problem
I'm sure this has been covered before but couldn't find any, please forgive me...
17x10.5 with 6-7/8" backspacing with 275/45ZR17 tire (recommended max size) looks stretched out over the rim and kind of puny. Factory Five MKII Any experience out there? Should I go ahead and get a 9" wide rim with correct backspacing so the tire will bulge a little? I realize the Z rated tires have more of a squared look, but the front looks much better with a 9" rim and 245/40s Thanks for any help! |
Most people witn 17s run 315/35s.

Tim, I heard that the MKII roadster can't handle the bigger wheel and tire size...315's fit for my generation car?
