What kind of cut?

I assume you are cutting out your headlights, side pipes, or something like that and your body has not been painted.

If your cut is "wavey" and it will show on your lights then sand both sides of your headlight area to be repaired and get some resin and fiberglass cloth and build up the area needed . After applying 3 or 4 applications of resin and cloth you will need to sand everything to the shape you want. Be sure and wear a mask and long sleves while working with fiberglass.

If your side pipe cut is wavey then lay out a straight line along your wavey cut.Use masking tape or striping tape (3M plastice green or blue tape), then get a hand file, rasp, or die grinder and clean up your cut.

If you're gouge in your panel is not through the skin then sand it out with 80 grit sand paper and use some bondo to fill in the gouge then block sand it. If your gouge is all the way through the skin, sand all sides with course sand paper and grab the fiberglass and resin. Be sure and block sand all your repair areas starting with 80 grit wet or dry and finishing with 400 grit wet or dry. Also, use a contrasting color to find the high and low spots of your work. Good luck.

Dcapo,
Clois nailed it.
Remember, until the car has been painted, any body damage inflicted can be easily fixed with fiberglass, resin, or bondo.
