Stainless Steel Header polish

I have SS headers on my new ride, and wondered what you people use to polish the headers?

They have a gold color, and I'd like to get closer to original look.

Eric, do you mean the high heat areas are gold? Or the whole pipe has this tint?

I, also will be receiving SS headers and pipes on my turnkey, and so I am wondering what make they are? Are they from Superformance itself, in SA?

My Supertrapp mufflers on my V-Max Yamaha have turned a slight goldish, after use, I don't think it looks too bad. But if it is easy to remove, then yeah, I want to do that.

Be careful about anything abrasive, it can scratch the finish !

nope

BIB,

There are a couple of companies making SS headers and sidepipes. I got my headers from Southwest Performance.

(now the shamless plug)

They are high quality SS, and the finish is polished. Anyone that needs their phone number, just e-mail me. I highly recommend them!

(continue on)

I believe this company has digitaly (sp?) plotted Superformance headers and sidepipes, and is building SS 2" runner tube, seamless headers. I bought the headers with 2" tubes to provide a proper exaust flow for the 205 AFR heads, and the exaust note.
