I have Shelby investment cast stainless roller rockers. They are works of art and tough as nails but not cheap. You may want to get clear plexy valve covers once you see these babies.

I ran Harland Sharpe on my last car. They are fine, except the locknuts were lame. I heard they might have changed them now.
Currently using the Shelby stainless CS427 rockers; however they are different for the Edelbrock aluminum heads setup vs. the iron heads application. To me, the Erson setup seems to be the best value and quality in the $600-900 range. Beyond that, Shelby, T&D, whatever.... So, just wondering, you might want to check to be sure the stands are the right height if you go with the Erson FE rocker assembly on Edelbrock FE aluminum heads. There was a slight difference in stand height when ordering my Shelby rocker setup. |
I to, am running the stainless rockers that Shelby uses, and am very happy with them. However, those from Shelby are very expensive, but if you call Gary at FE rockers (530) 378-1075 and order the same thing but know as the FE Max set, they run around $850.00. My 3 cents worth.

I'm running Erson as well in my 427 S/O but only because I couldn't find anyone (including Shelby) who had theirs in stock.
So I went with the Erson assembly and the only thing I found different was I needed to switch from head studs to bolts to clear the end stands. It is a one-piece design unlike the bolt through CompCams/Shelby/Dove units. I use them on a Crower .600" lift and they are terrific - just lock those adjusting nuts down (I was lucky). Cheers! I just called and spoke to Gary mentioned in the thread above and wish I had had his info before. He said they believe Shelby is going to start manufacturing their own units and didn't want to give them an exclusive to their product at the price point they were selling. Cheers! Tony |
