surge/expansion tank for 351W
Hello All,
I am looking to instal a surge or expansion tank for my windsor. It does not need to look "original" I have seen on past threads (of course I can't find them) That some of the tanks that mount at the thermostat get in the way of the March alternator support. Also I have a MSD distibutor, which is quite a bit larger than stock Does anyone have a tank that they can recomend. I see in the Finish Line catalog, a nice aluminum tank, but it looks like that might cause a problem with the March support. Any sugestions would be most appreciated John |

JohnM John I had the same problem with my 452 FE motor. Get a 1" piece of aluminium and make it your self Use the gaskets as a pattern. scribe it in the aluminium and drill and follow the lines, take the shape edges off, get 2 gaskets from pep boys for acouple of bucks and you have it. Buy a hole saw kit at home depot for a nice center hole. 1/2" might be width enough. All you need is a drill press. You can do it.:) Rick Lake
