Big brake in 15" wheel news
I always beleived that the largest Wilwood brake you could get in a 15" wheel was generally 12.19" rotor. I was just told by a good source that PSE and Trigo 15" wheels will take the 13" Wilwood rotor and caliper!
In checking the Wilwood site, minimum wheel ID is 14.14" for the 12.19" rotor and 14.66" for the 13" rotor (this was also with the six piston calipers). Can't wait to get home and pull a rim to be sure! 13", here I come! Rick |
Hey Rick,
How did this work out for you? |
I guess I could wait:rolleyes: I haven't even pulled a wheel to check yet! But when I do, I will try and remember to put the word out there. 12.19 would be fine but 13 would be better!

If you guys are gonna try using 13 " rotors you better measure carefully before you buy the new calipers and rotors. I just measured my Trigos and they are 13.75 ID at the mounting flange.
I am in the process of mounting 6 piston Superlights and they are wider than the 4 piston Superlights they are replacing. Cranky |
13" rotors
I have 15" wheels, wilwood 12.19 rotors and billet superlite calipers, and have about enough room just to fit wheel weights, I haven't got Trigos yet, but I would imagine not enough room for the larger rotors etc.
If you are running a BB I would've considered 13" rotors etc, I suppose it boils down to weight to stop, and if you are going circuit racing at times it has to stop before you go around the corner! I opted for the 12.19 rotor to keep the unsprung weight down, but I am going all alloy SB and running gear, should be around 950kg **) Having said all that when I fit Trigos there will be the adapter weight on the end of the suspension, so at the end of the day it doesn't really matter, as long as it works! |
