Can anyone give me some info on how you would determine what gears you would use to put in the carrier assembly. The transmission I would be useing is the tremec TKO 3550 with 1st gear at 3.27 and 0.82 overdrive 5th gear. Any help would be appreciated. Scot

What size tires are you using? Do you want more take off speed or top end? We use 3:27 for most street cars 3:55 for more take off or 3:73 to 4:10 for those folks that just like ot spin tires.
You need to figure out what you want to do with your car and what you want your car to do for you. :)

I'm looking for more take of power than anything else, plan on useing 17 inch tires. Also is there a couple places you know where I can locate a complete carrier assembly for an IRS. I have found some places that carry the 9" but not the 8.8" that I'm looking for. Any help would be appreciated. Scot

To completely answer your question, I must know some things first.

1. Intended engine size?

2. What is your engine's power peak?

3. Vehicle model?

4. Tire size? (P235/75R15 or G70-15 etc.)

5. What is your driving style?

6. Intended use for vehicle?

7. What is your Budget?
