How to tow a Cobra?

I hope it never happens, but if the dreaded can't drive it home break down occurs, whats the best way to tow a Cobra? Most all tow companies use the roll on trucks now, but I can't see where they could hook the pull straps without doing some body damage.
For those that have had to deal with this nightmare, what did you do?

I've had mine ro a roll back twice, no problem. The driver did a great job.

Flat bed tow truck.
Put the Cobra on backwards.
This will give just enough room for the oil cooler to clear the ground.

Plus I always carry 2 small sections of 2 x 4 in the trunk to help out when they are pulling it up on the rollback. Unfortunately, I have had it happen a time or two. Tranny stuck in gear one time, and other time I disintegrated a header manifold right in a parking lot.

Folks, the question here was how do you attach tow ropes or straps to the car to tow it up onto a flat bed or other mode of transport. Are your faux jackup points strong enough to hook a rope or wire to? some of them are not. I have a tow bar/tongue I can put on mine, its ugly but works. However I don't have a conventional front end. I have an old Aussie Torana front end that happened to have a hole right in the middle....I had a long steel plate cut out with a small leg welded on one end that catches the back of the front cross member, a hole drilled for a 5/8" grade 8 bolt that goes through the crossmember and a hole drilled in the front big enough to put in a heavy duty clevis to attach the rope. It hangs out even with the front most point of the car. While thin and black, seldom noticed. Have towed car slowly with this for over 5 miles without a scatch. While this means it can only be towed from the front, I'm sure there are heaps of other ways to pull or tow. Where are your attachement points?

I have had a flat bed tow. The driver used a 4 x 4 under the chassis in front to hold down the tow straps hooked under the car. He went real slow and was real careful to keep everything from making contact with the fiberglass. The 4 x 4 was between the chassis and strap thereby holding the strap well below the body. Same thing getting it off. John

If you have a nylon sling you could attach it to the roll bar like the race cars do.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I think I will bump up my AAA to the Plus membership and make sure the driver has some wood with him.

Companies like Speedway and Summit sell 20 foot nylon tow straps usually with a 4-5000 pound rating, more than enough for our cars, you could carry one or two of these in the car with you and not take up too much space then use these on your roll bar(s) assuming they are not just for looks. Usual price is around $25 a piece. No need for carrying firewood.
