Boss 351 spark plugs?
Anyone out there with thoughts regarding spark plug choice for a Boss 351? I am currently running Autolite #25. Figured that this forum is the best place to start tech question since many of you are in the know. At least more so that the local Autozone.
Thanks for your input!

Autolites is what I use. Read the plug to see if it is to hot or cold... but be careful! There are lots of fancy, high tech plugs out there but I have never had an issue with the basic Autolite in my car.

AF24s have worked well in my 372 Clevor with 4V heads. I would think that they would work well in your combo also.

Just the basic autolite 25. They also have a platinum, double platinum and xtreme AP25, APP25 AND XP25 respectively. Never had any problems with the basic autolite but I don't see why the upgraded plugs would be a problem either. If you are not getting sooty carbon deposits on the insulator around the center electrode, it is hot enough. If it has a speckled appearence, it is to hot. Be VERY careful increasing the temp of the plug (IE 26). Generally, the more performance oriented the colder.

I have a 351 stroked Clevland with 8 TWM trumpets controlled By Motec. One plug in particular is oily and is always black, the others range from black to light biscuit color. Car performs well approx 500 rear wheel hp. How do I get clean consistant plugs

While I have heard of your induction system, I have zero idea on how to tune it. As for the black plugs, they are either oil or carbon fouled. Shiny for oil and dry and sooty for rich fuel mixture. Obviously, get the fuel system tuned right for carbon and look at the mechanical condition for oil fouled.

I've been running Autolite AP24's in mine without ever an issue.
