Those guys at Photo Bucket blindsided everyone with their greedy Jesse James style send me money or I'll shut off your photo hosting stunt earlier this year.
I wouldn't give them the time of day let alone any continued use whatsoever, Ron. Their behavior was minimally reprehensible. The user community is living a real world version of the fool me once ... paradigm.

But the post worked, and my images are still showing too even after I discontinued my paid plan (it was under $100 per year and then jumped to something like 500).

when they implemented the latest fees i bailed and deleted my pics and account.
google works fine for what i need

good advice is to download all your images off their server and delete you account. Lots of options both paid and free.

The primary reason to remove the images from Photobucket account is in their Ts&Cs. They now claim rights to all images in "abandoned accounts". Somehow I don't think Ansel Adams would have ever had a photobucket account. |

I did download all of my pictures from Photo Bucket but I still use the free section to post pictures from. There are ways to do it and bypass their greedy money grab. But mostly I use Flickr and
