Powder Coater - Looking for Recommendations

Rather than trawl through the yellow pages I thought I would ask for recommendations of a good Powder Coater here in North Texas.

Happy New Year

Powder coating

I would like to know one myself.

These guys are great and very reasonable. They do ceramic as well.

Fraser,

I have used both Enduro and Crosslink. I am pleased with the outcome of both... Enduro did some nice custom color for me, and Crosslink some ceramic. Crosslink was a little more to my liking price and turnaround time wise.

The only folks to use are Quality Powdercoating in Carrollton. 2 blocks off of 35E. They specialize in kit car applications where plugging the holes is an important detail for later assembly. I took a trailer full of parts (Lonestar 427 frame, headers, 9" rear housing, other pieces). They did three things right: first, called daily to appraise me of the status, beat their estimated time for completion of the parts; lastly, turned out a finish better and cheaper than their original estimate. They load and unload everything--never had to hurt my back...go figure.

Ask for "Little ___" (Brad???)--there are two people by the same name and "Little __" is the one to fulfill all the steps I mentioned above. Just ask the receptionist who answers the phone--she'll know who to connect you to.

BTW: No problems with the business or its operation after the tragic private plane wreck in FL with its owner aboard.

I'd never use anyone else. (Certainly NOT Performance Powdercoating in Greenville/Fate..OMG!)

I have to second these guys and have used them multiple times for coatings. At the time I priced around and they were nearly the cheapest, plus they did an excellent job (and thus why I use them again and again)

These guys can't be beat.
I drove from central Arkansas to use them and would again. They are in Marshall TX

Many thanks for the recommendations, referrals are always worth their weight in gold.

Happy new year to one and all.

I've used these guys and was very happy with their work. They ceramic coated my side pipes, but they also do powder. I looked at some of their powder coating and it looked great. They are one block west of S. Cooper St., on California Ln. in Arlington, TX.

I tried to add my two cents and the post got marked for MOD approval. What's up with that?

Specialized Performance Coatings in Arlington, TX. I used them for ceramic coating my pipes. They do great looking powder coating work too. They have a web site with photos. A google search should find it since I apparently can't post the link for some reason.

I approved your original post.

Automation put you on the no-fly list because:
New user, low post count, post with short text, web link and address at end.

That's a "spammer's profile," so our automation bags it...until a Mod reviews it.

You're cool...no problem

Thought I would share the results after selecting a powder coating company.

After reviewing the recommendations and chatting to the various companies decided on Quality Powder Coat. As it turns out they powder coat all of the Lone Star chassis's.

Thought I would post a picture as I started installing today.

Many thanks to those who passed on their recommendations.

Looking great Fraser! Have you decided on a paint color yet?

Fraser 03-14-2010 08:07 PM

Joe,

The only thing Brooks asked when I purchased the car was that she picked the color. It looks like it will be blue (exact shade not decided) with white stipes.

However visiting San Marcos in a couple of weeks could easily change her mind.

Hey guys if you haven't decided yet, one of our sponsors for Run N Gun this year is Broken Arrow Powder Coating. They do very nice work and are the largest military powder coater in several states. Turn around was fairly quick and price was great.
