Another new Cobra on the west side

I just bought my first Cobra. Shell Valley kit. Built in 2003. Blue w/white stripes. 302 that is pretty mild at the moment. Bought it from a guy in Kentucky. I live in Mansfield and hope to find some compadres on this side of the metroplex. I'm an old fart (69) but don't let that fool you. Car guy since forever and former SCCA road racer. (Porsche) I'll be checking closely to see when you have the next breakfast meeting.

Welcome Gary!

Former SCCA road racer ... awwwrriiight!!! We like road racers, don't we Reyburn and Seitz? There's a TMS open track session coming up, somebody will post a link :D

You can join us at the next monthly luncheon, first Saturday in Feb. But I suspect we will do Cars and Coffee again in Plano on the last Saturday of Jan. We did it in Dec. How do I know? I was the ONLY Cobra Club member there .. :rolleyes: (oh, um, I was in the Z4 :o)

Looking forward to meeting you!

Sam

Welcome and you'll find there's a bunch of us old farts still playing with cars. I've had my fair share over the years including 6 cobras and now looking to do my next one soon...

Gary:

Congratulations on your new Cobra. Post some pictures for everyone.

Maybe in February some of the "members in good standing" from the Mid-Cities or Ft. Worth will suggest a meeting place for everyone to meet for lunch...hint, hint...and we'll be able to get together on the West Side.

Being an old fart with a Road racing past makes you a strong candidate for RUN'NGUN and Vintage Racing.

The next premier event to Focus on is San Marcos in March FOR SURE!

Welcome aboard! :cool::LOL:

Welcome Gary.

Hooray on the purchase. There are a couple of other blue cars in the area I think. Looking forward to meeting you.

John

Glad to have you in the groove Gary. Shell Valley cars are in my DNA. Been associated with them for years. Regardless of what you read the company is doing OK now. Colin

Be sure to join the rest of us "old farts" in San Marcos in late March for the Spring Meet. You will have a good time.
