Texas Driving Experience Death at TMS
Sorry to hear about this. Channel 8 News reported that an 87 year old man wanting to fullfill his "bucket list" died at TMS when he hit the wall while riding as passenger in one of the Corvettes this past Saturday. Possibly one of the TDE instructors was also injured. Thought I would post this in case any of you guys are friends with any the Texas Driving Experience people.

I thought it a bit unfair on the reporting side. They really made it sound like TDE is using false advertising. They do offer Safe and Educational programs. I have not yet gotten the opportunity to go out there, but I am sure that like any other driving program like this they let you know about the risks and require you to acknowledge them prior to you getting on the track or in a car. I don't think any reasonable person would qualify driving over 100 MPH with 3 other cars and actively passing each other as "Safe". It is racing and racing has risks. That is why it was on his bucket list. They could have easily drove around in a single file line going less than 70MPH and gave him a safe ride. I am betting that is not what he wanted or what he paid for. This is nothing more than an unfortunate side effect of racing.

Have to say there are worse ways to kick the bucket than while fulfilling your "bucket list".
