"Membership" List ?

Is there a list of folks with Cobras and their towns of residence anywhere on the site?

It would be interesting to see a list of types (kit manufacturers) and towns, though I realize today that it could be used for evil intent.

I was wondering how many Cobras may reside down near where I am in Waxahachie, for the social aspect as well as for mutual assistance.

I've spoken w/ Brian in Midlothian, but no one else so far.

Thanks,
Bob
Waxahachie

I think Kristen makes a phone book every year. I have not got one from her in several years so I don't know how up to date it is.

I received an email from Bob. I will send out a new list in a couple of days. Are there any other folks that need to be added?

Hey Bob: Are you the gentleman from Washington who just bought a Backdraft and attended on of the Dallas meetings last year? If my memory serves me correctly, you've retired in Waxahachie, Tx. Same guy?

bobinyelm 05-26-2010 07:20 AM

Yep, though for a minute I had to think about it because I rarely get called a gentleman. Believe it or not, it was TWO years ago for the June meeting when I went up and met you all before touring Sam Packs collection!

I sent you a PM a few days ago to that effect, in fact when I saw you post on the thread, though it may not have made it to you. I appreciated your taking me under your wing that day and introducing me around to everyone. I am always a bit hang-back in new crowds, though everyone was very friendly and I look forward to driving up when the heat or the 90 min drive won't bake my poor balding head.

I wish it were not so far up to that pat of the World! Down here it's more the Quad-Cab Cummins Dually Club group than Cobras (though I can legally joke about it since I have one of those, too).

I finally took the cover off the Cobra it had hidden under for those 2 years and put the engine/tranny in it earlier this month. I am awaiting a new steering rack (the original was defective-I guess they got a bad run of them at some point) Reg at Backdraft said he'd send me so I can get the car registered and on the road.

Bob
BTW, I didn't know you were a LBC fan as well, evidence your Big Healey. I used to have a British Car Restoration shop some years back, and still have my trusty Morgan 4/4 hanging around I should really try to sell now that I have the Cobra up and running (almost).
