Hyundai at TMS?
Anyone else get an "invitation" from Hyundai? It claims to be an invitation to drive a 2011 Sonata, Honda Accord and Toyota Camry on a "closed course" at TMS on Sept. 10-12. I'm not sure how or where they got my name and address.
It says they will want to know your opinion about how they compare, complimentary refreshments, a "gift" valued at $30, plus a subscription to Dwell magazine..
Might be fun, depending on how spirited of a drive you get to take.

I'm guessing y'all haven't seen the commercials on local TV about this ?
It is a 10 mph drive in a parking lot around cones.

Nope, one of the joys of a DVR is that I rarely watch commercials, unless I see it's the Jack Link's "Messin W/ Sasquatch" Beef Jerky commercials. I try not to miss those.. :)
I won't be going if 10 MPH is really it..

Pine Wood Derby?
Oh yeah. Go kick it...10 mph..no break! Just slam it into the corners and don't hurt yourselves. Just destroy the tires and the brakes...yeah! No penalty for cone crushing.
Drive them like you stole them...and get asked to leave. I'll give you a convict trophy.:LOL::):)**)**):cool:

Wonder if I could sneak the Cobra onto the course and auto cross their cones and then get heck out of there before they could figure out what was going on? :D

In '83 when Ford launched the restyled Thunderbird Turbo Coupe they (Ford) had a farily large event at Sears Point. It was to introduce the cars and show their capabilities for future sales efforts by the attending Ford salesmen. We really flogged the cars around the track. We had 1 driving instructor from Bondurants School and 3 salesmn in a car. FUN FUN FUN
