Hot in the cockpit

where can I get the insulation for under the carpet. Burning up my feet. Will rapping my headers help also? What is the best way to keep interior cooler?

Yes, wrapping the headers will reduce heat in the engine compartment. Plus you can get below carpet heat shield from places like JC Whitney, Pep Boys (auto store) or http://www.ezcool.ca/heatshield/index.html or do a google search for something in your area. Not fun when your that hot.

My son and I installed Dynamat purchased from Jeg's under the transmission tunnel in our car. It reduced the heat considerably. The headers are not a problem in our car because Kirkham installs a stainless heat shield over the front of each footbox.
