Texas Cobra Insurance

I insured several Cobras with State Farm in California for $137.00 per year, that was with other cars and houses insured with them.
Texas Farm Bureau just told me they will not insure Cobras, who do you guys use?
He suggested Progressive.....

thanks
Wayne

I live in Houston and recently renewed with Tom Kent at Southgate Insurance, which is also located in Houston. I am very happy with the policy he wrote for me, and he seems to know the Texas market very well. We got to talking after he did my Cobra, and he was able to save me some money on my commercial and homeowners policies. This was after my Allstate Agent told me they would no longer write home policies in my area after hurricane Ike.

Regards,

Justin

I live in Houston and shopped homeowner's, 5 cars and the Cobra with all the majors, and no one could touch what Robbin at Midwest quoted for the Cobra alone. The historical losses to the major insurers in Texas from hurricanes, floods and tornadoes make it nearly impossible for the them to compete with boutiques like Midwest (which is actually underwritten by American Modern.)

I had Robin write mine, and have been very happy with the service and quote.

I just looked at the policy Southgate Insurance wrote for me, and it is from American Modern as well. The independants like Midwest Classic and Southgate Insurance look like the best way to go versus the majors.
