Shelby Texxas Nationals!!
Ok boys and girls here is the official scoop on this event for those of you that are interested. October 5, 6 & 7 are the dates for the 2001 Shelby Texas Nationals. Friday will be open track at the Motorsport Ranch followed by a social hour Friday night with lots of finger foods and the possibilty of Carroll Shelby in attendance. Saturday is more open track followed by a buffet style sit down banquet with guest speaker. Sunday will be the car show at the Arlington Hilton across from Six Flags.
Registration is underway or if need be you can register at the Hotel on Thursday or Friday night or at the track on Friday or Saturday morning. Looking forward to a big turnout so come and play if you can. According to my boss....I mean wife, here is the breakdown but please don't hold me to it.
Registration...spectator all 3 days $20 early...$25 late Spectator...1 day only...$10.00 Banquet Tickets...$25.00 early...$28.00 late T-Shirts...$15.00 Track Time.....1 day only...$125.00..includes registration...and 1 Banquet Ticket Track Time.....2 days Fri. & Sat.....$225.00..includes registration... and 1 Banquet Ticket. By "LATE" she means after next Wednesday...before she has to make final arrangements. Hope this helps, Gary:D |

I will not be able to make the track events, but my wife Anneliese and I are planning on being at the banquet on Saturday night, plus the car show on Sunday. How can we get the tickets in advance?? Also - where is the Friday night social with the possible appearance of CS going to be located?? Thanks, |

It's just around the corner!! I AM PUMPED!! In about 10 days it's Motorsport Ranch Time again, the most fun you can have in a Cobra with your pants on(clean is up to you!). I think it is going to be an absolutely AWESOME weekend and you ol' boys better be there or be ready for a frightful amount of grief from your "close friends" in our ever-growing band of merry men(& GORGEOUS women), so come on out for the time of your life. Love to join you all, but alas, I will be out of town. Don't own a cobra right now anyway, but I would love to come out and watch and learn, and come to the car show. Maybe next year...

Well, I've decided to treat myself to a DAY OFF from work, so...
I will be out at the track during the day on FRIDAY, with the Bullitt #621. I will be available to volunteer where ever I can help out - (as long as I get a few HOT LAPS in my Bullitt!! haha :3DSMILE: ) Can't wait to see everybody again!! woo hoo!! |

I got yer RED big Jay (hehehe)! Can't wait to see all you guys. I'll be driving in kind of late on Friday night. I'm staying in the Hilton just to be close and plus I need to check in (I know you guys will give me hell for not staying at your house, but I'm bringin the boys). Is there room in the parking lot there for trailers?
