DFW shop for fiberglass/paint work?
My neighbor tapped my baby Saturday, a two year old Superformance. It didn't look like much, but it turns out there is a tear in the fiberglass on the left rear of the car (visible from inside the trunk). Can anyone recommend a shop in the DFW area that would do quality fiberglass repair and paint work on a Cobra? (The well know shops like Service King are telling me they do fiberglass work, but only on production cars.) Larry

That's a shame Larry. Hate to hear the "bump" was worse than it seemed.
You might try Rob Camp at Definitive Motorsports for the repair - 972-578-3550 |
I believe Rob parted ways with his body shop and body shop Mgr but the guy opened a shop next door on his own. He painted my hood scoop and it matched perfectly. I know Jay has a body guy that is pretty good....

Dave Brady does all of the local Lone Star work, and he is doing my CSX 4000 body. He is in Ennis. cell 214sevenfivefive1156. The best.

Thank you for the help. I also heard from Jay by email. I am driving to Ennis today to have Dave Brady look at it and will follow up with the folks in Ovilla as well. Enjoy this great driving weather, high of 61 (low 45) Sunday. Larry

Larry,
David Brady painted my car as well as Gary Tucker's. Jody |
Larry,
I'm not sure where you live, but Mastercraft in Ovilla does excellent work. Ask for Eric and tell him that Don with the green ERA 427 referred you. I can provide further details about the shop and workmanship should you desire. Don |
My LS427 is the dark blue one in the paint booth down at David's. How does it look?
David is the best, but works at his own pace. |
I ended up using David Braddy of Ennis for this work (recommended by Jay Nordstrom and by Paul, Jody, and Texasdoc on this thread). He did an excellent job. And the price was right. (I obtained several bids. David was lower than all but one, and was about half the highest bid.) I would recommend David without hesitation for fiberglass/paint work in the DFW/North Texas area. Thank you all for the input and help.
