2013 Big Bend Open Road Race http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...ORR_-_2013.jpg April 24 - 27 The April race takes place on US Highway 285 South from Fort Stockton to Sanderson and back (about 59.0 miles each way - or 118.0 miles). If you're interested in joining "TEAM COBRA" Please let me know. Breakdown>>>
Day 1: Wednesday: Register in Sanderson, get in as many practice runs as they close down Hwy 90 west of town. Back to Ft Stockton Wed night for team dinner Day 2: Thursday: Back to Sanderson: More practice runs then off to the elementary school where you sign autographs for all the kids. Welcome to Sanderson dinner party, then back to Ft Stockton for "Blender" Party. Day 3: Friday: High school car wash fund raiser, drivers meeting, car show and BBORR parade through Ft Stockton. The town shuts down, throw candy to the kids lining the streets. Day 4: Saturday: 0600 on Grid: 0700 line up on Hwy 285: 0900 first cars "Unlimited" go off: 1200 Lunch in Sanderson: 1300 Head north: 1600 party in the park in Ft. Stockton. Day 5: Head home. "More Fun than Human Beings Should be Allowed to Have" |
