I'm looking to help build in the Houston Area

Hello, I'm new to the forum.

If anyone is building a Roadster in the Houston area and might need an extra set of hands please feel free to reach out to me. I don't have a Roadster yet but I'm planning to buy a complete kit next year. My brother owns a junkyard and I should be able to scoop-up a complete donor car to scavenge from.

Best Regards and Happy Hot Roddin'

Edward,

No dis-respect ment, but not many people are going to let just anyone wrench on their replica. Let alone someone they do not know.

Find a local group close to you and join in. Get to know the people. After all, once you get yours you probably will be getting to know them anyway.

There are quite a few times I wish I had some help. That extra hand is a big help sometimes. Not counting having someone to bounce things off of or just shoot the bull and drink a beer.

hey, maybe Doug and Elmariachi could use a hand...

Yeah, that's all I'm trying to do. I just want to learn by watching, helping where ever I can. Thanks Dwight.

I'd even bring the beer! I brew my own.

Edward, whereabouts are you in Katy? Cinco or old town?
Also plan on coming to San Marcos in April. We will have about 100 Cobras from all around at the Texas Cobra Club Spring Meet.

Tom,

The closest intersection would be West Little York and Greenhouse. Although we'll be moving sometime this year. Still in the Katy area but maybe South of I10. I'd be willing to drive a good 30 - 40 mile radius though.

I brought up the San Marcos trip to my wife just last night. I sold it as a weekend get away in the hill country.

More than likely I'll be there. I almost always wear a red University of Houston hat.

Houston Hoonigans

Second Saturday of every month, we meet somewhere for lunch. Rain or shine. You'll get to see just about every replica available and lots of variations off those. James Yale is one of the most experienced builders in our group and owns the Backdraft dealership for the southwest. He can be found at Radical Roadsters of Texas
Next event is a charity car show and Bar B Q at Minute Maid Park, downtown Houston, March 9th. Dont have a car to show, come on out for $10 donation you get to eat some great Bar B Q. Also this year the Houston Cobra Club is doing "Buy A Ride". For a donation you get to go for a ride in one of our cars. Looking forward to meeting you.

mtpockets,

I won't be able to make it this time. I'll be traveling to Florida for Spring Break w/ the family. Next time for sure though. I'm still waiting on the moderator to approve me into the group for the yahoo group: Houston Cobra Club

Thanks!
