Houston, are you ready to cruise!?!?!?
Ok guys, the weather has been great, the temps reasonable and its time to drive.
Is anyone in the Houston area up for a cruise to Roundtop? It's about a 90 mile trip one way but I hear the eat'ns pretty good there. Here is the plan: Trip to take place on Saturday November 24. We meet for Breakfast aprox 9 am (meeting place to be determined.) Hit the road by 10:30ish headed for roundtop. (maps provided) Eat lunch, check out the town and then head back to H-town. If you start now, you have 2 weeks to get your toys ready for the ride. Chime in if you are interested. |
Oh yeah!
Definitely... I want to do that.
Jim :) |
Hey! I've wanted to do this for a long time, but, unfortunately (that really isn't the right word) I will be at the Autorama all day, every day from Nov. 21-25 (except Thanksgiving morning).
If anyone is going to Autorama, stop by and see me at the Space City Cruisers display. Autorama will be the first public showing of my car. :D |
Ok guys,
There are tons of Cobras here in the Houston area and many of you have expressed a desire to go cruising. Why such a small (2) response??? Is the date bad? Is the location too far? Are all your cars broken? Give me some input here. |
Dennis,
I am scheduled to work that weekend. SR |
Dennis, my Cobra is for sale but if it has not been sold by then, I will make it. Sounds like a great trip!
Randy |
Dennis, I'm ready to go! Are we still on? Do you have any details yet?
Randy |
Dennis, finally got Ol' 598 done and ready to rock, but I'm in Austin that day...I'm in for next month or another day, though!
|
Dennis,
Sorry, I'll be out of town on Saturday. You guys have fun. I'll try and make the next cruise. Steve K. |
Not that we need an excuse...
Dennis,
Do you know that I live right across the street from your sister-in-law, Angela? Now we have another excuse for either you to come up here or me to go there. Regards, |
HAPPY TURKEYDAY
Sorry for the delay in response, I have been away from CC for a bit. The cruise is on if you still want to go. The weather looks ok, should be in the low 70's with a small chance (30%) of rain....Which means there is a 70% chance that it won't!:3DSMILE: I looks like there will only be 3 of us on the curise but as Jim said on another thread, cruising with 2 cobras is better that cruising alone. How about meeting at the Whataburger located between Dairy Ashford and Kirkwood on the south side of I-10 around 9 am. We can grab a bite to eat and then head out to sealy and pick up 36 (I think, I'll do a map before then. We will take some nice roads into Roundtop. Mike, Tom and I took these roads on that way back form Austin and it was fun. Ren Man, I don't have a sister in law named Angela.....I don't think. But I'll visit anyway:D Guys, let me know if you have any questions or changes in plans. |
Gail has a patient in Brenham, Sig Emerson, who runs a business building street rods. We think it would be fun to stop there and see his cars and impress him with ours. Sig also recommended what they consider to be the best restaurant in Roundtop. Gail has that info, but my senior noodle didn't capture the name.
I have invited a friend to join us with his vette or Harley, but he hasn't committed yet. |
Sorry Dennis, I meant Red Motley
Red,
Your sister-in-law, Angela lives right across the street from me. We need an excuse to get you up here some time. My In-Law's are from Yoakum...Small World. |
