What a shame.
We had some great times motorcycle racing at Texas World Speedway back in 2000 and 2001. Even won a couple of endurance races with the CMRA.
I just hope, after the sale of the Nürburgring, that we won't read about "developing" the green hell.

Dear TWS: Good bye old friend. Great memories.
You'll be missed.

That is sad in the extreme. Last time I was there I was driving a Formula Atlantic for a west coast operation and told the only car I had to worry about was one of the Red Roof Inn cars, the other was being driven by the sponsor and would not be a problem. Bobby Rahal was in that car and working his way up in history. No one knew who he was then and he wasn't all that fast.......yet. I think that was the 1970 season. We were the support race to the CHAMP Car series of Indy cars that year. Extremely fast track and great memories. I suppose it will now join the Riverside and Ontario legacy.
