Father's Day Weekend
Hey north Texas
I'm planning to be in the DFW area for Father's Day Weekend and I'm thinking of bringing the FIA. Are there any car events in the area, or car nights for that weekend. I know that in central and south Texas there are a number of Father Day car events. If any of you know of things to do that weekend please post a list. Thanks, Paul:cool: |
Paul,
Father's Day weekend is pretty slow, better weekends to tool around DFW in the FIA would be: 6/21 5th Annual Shelby Show at Legacy Bank, or 6/28 Forest Lane Cruise Reunion For Saturday the 14th, we can always plan an impromptu in the vicinity of the Metroplex you will be. Keller's on Northwest Highway is an every Saturday Night event and probably the best bet for a good time. We could also do a breakfast, if you are more available then. What part of town are you staying and what is your block of available time? I also pulled this down from Hot Rod Happenings: http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...rshows_dfw.jpg |
Thanks John for the reply. I'm staying in Euless. Looks like there are several activities going on that weekend after all according to the calendar. I'll better know my plans later in the week. Of course traveling that far the weather would have to be dry.

OK guys. I looked at some of the events and the ones that seemed to fit into my schedule are on Saturday. There is a car show in Keller from 10-2. Then there is a show in Lewisville from 4-8 and then John said that there is a car night in Keller. Anyway, does anyone have any info on these events. I'd like to make a day of it.
Thanks, Paul**) |

Paul,
Looks like Hot Rod Happenings listing of Keller Ramblingamblers Show for 6/14 was incorrect... their website shows 6/21 instead Ramblin' Gamblers More details on NTMC Cruise Night can be found at ntmc.org, or for the flyer, direct your browser here: - NTMC |
Paul,
I've been to the North Texas Mustang gathering in Lewisville (Saturday Night 6/14/14) in the past and usually a great turn out if weather is good. I also saw something on Facebook about a Cafe GT Race Bike reveal, Bike and Car show at the Gas Monkey on Sunday 6/15/14. Not sure what that is but someone was trying to get some Cobras to come out. |
Thanks guys for the reply's. Just trying to find something to do on Saturday with the FIA. I'll be heading back on Sunday so Saturday is really the only full day I have. Maybe if there is a "car night" on Friday that might work as well. Any suggestions would be great. Hope to see some of you when I get there.
Thanks, Paul |
I could be coaxed into attending NTMC Cruise Night at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Lewisville.
You in for the win Paul? Anybody else? (Bueler? Bueler?) Texas Cobra Club descends to steal the show? Cracker Barrel Old Country Store 889 Stemmons Fwy, Lewisville, TX 75067 4:00 - 8:00pm |
I'm liking Keller's for Saturday night......
Kevin.... |
Keller's is also my preference, closer and more diverse cars/crowd/scene, and great burgers by the cars. Just want to make sure Past TCC President Paul Cass feels well welcomed as he brings his wicked FIA in from Corpus.
Paul are you up for the cruise to Keller's Burgers on Northwest Highway in Dallas? Kevin is up for making the trek from Haslet. |
Whatever you guys come up with I'm game. All loaded up and headed to Euless. Hope the storms are gone by the time I arrive. I'm pretty free, as for as I know for now, Friday so maybe we can touch base on a game plan sometime Friday. John could instant message me you cell phone and a good time to call and we can go from there. Look forward to seeing you guys.

We planning on going to Lewisville for the NTMC show. Oh wait, we live in Lewisville. Makes it easier.
|
Paul and I are in for both NTMC Cruise at Cracker Barrel early and Keller's later.

A great day was had by all who ventured forth to NTMC Cruise Night and Keller's Hamburgers.
In attendance were The Honorable Paul Cass, Don Wallace, David Cheever, Gordon Sato, Kevin and Janisia (sp?), Gary Sharapata, and George And Brittany. I enjoyed catching up with Rick Sink and Ralph Perkins of NTMC. |

You see I told you that you had had too many.... My wife's name is Josiane... Kevin..... |
Apologies Kevin,
Josiane Josiane Josiane I've got it, hopefully, glad Josiane was able to make the full day with us. In contrast, it is a rare occasion that my Vicki joins the group, so you (and Josiane) should go buy some scratch offs. |
Good seeing Paul. Have a safe trip back south until we meet again!
